Hawaii might not be described as your typical winter wonderland – think white sand instead of white snow; sunshine and bikinis instead of scarves and gloves. But it’s still very much a festive destination, and no more so than with the arrival of Santa. At Halekulani in Oahu, Santa arrives in style, just a different style than you’re used to. Fully equipped with gifts and holiday cheer, Santa paddles up onto Gray’s Beach… in a canoe!
Santa will be arriving on Christmas Eve on Gray’s Beach at 4:30 p.m. Hotel guests, along with a traditional keiki hula troupe, greet Santa, who then hosts an exclusive children’s party complete with balloon makers, piñatas, and snacks. The Children’s Christmas Party also takes place on Christmas Eve, from 5:00-6:00 p.m. The children will have a chance to meet and greet Santa, have their picture taken, receive a present, play games, and make crafts. Santa also attends a more formal reception for teenagers later that evening.
